Inaugural CUNY Institute for Health Equity Conference
On Monday, May 8th, the CUNY Institute for Health Equity hosted its inaugural conference at the Lovinger Theatre at Lehman College. The theme of the conference was “Equity Now” and it brought together students, faculty, community stakeholders, and leaders in health equity and health care from across the CUNY system as well as the greater NYC community.
Pictured above are the panel moderators, Dr. Catherine Alicia Georges and Dr. William Latimer. Dr. Latimer is the founding Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing at Lehman College. Dr. Georges is professor and chairperson of Nursing at Lehman College and President Elect of AARP. Dr. Georges and Dr. Latimer moderated panel discussions on Health Equity Now and Professional and Workforce Development.
