The program will feature Gabriel Faure’s lyrical Requiem, as well as his serene Cantique de Jean Racine. Directed by Lehman Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia, the Chorus will be accompanied by the Lehman Symphony Orchestra.
The 80-member chorus will also perform shorter works by Brahms, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Ravel, and Aaron Copland, as well as a medley from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.
Members of the chorus, orchestra, and soloists include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff, and a broad selection of residents from the Bronx and surrounding communities in New York. Complimentary tickets are available at the Lehman Performing Arts Center box office.
