DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the Women's and Gender Studies Program, the first event of the Spring 2024 Lecture Series features Tashika McBride, M.S.W. She will examine systemic issues in legal frameworks and societal barriers to reporting gender-based violence; underscoring the compounded struggles faced by marginalized women due to intersecting identities.  Advocating for somatic healing practices as a form of justice, our series acknowledges the impact of trauma and promotes resilience through somatic healing.
