Writing Across the Curriculum

Overview

Collected here are studies conducted by faculty who have devoted a year to experimenting with ways of using writing in their courses. Each study is an inquiry into how writing is taught and learned in specific disciplines and in relation to particular learning goals of the course. These studies resulted from analysis of student writing and faculty assignments, material that is workshopped throughout the year and archived at the close of the two-semester program. They represent ongoing participation of Lehman WAC in the national conversation on undergraduate learning and the role of the scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL) in improving education in colleges and universities.
