The Periodicals Room, located on the Concourse level of the Library, contains print versions of the magazine, journal, and newspaper holdings of Lehman College, both in current and previous years, but excluding Education journals.

Current-year journals and newspapers are kept behind the public service counter. A current validated student ID must be presented to borrow these items for use in the Library. The previous year's collection gets bound and placed alphabetically by journal title in the Periodicals Room stacks in B01 or B17.

We hold onto paper copies of newspapers until we receive a microfilm version of the newspaper, at which time we discard the paper copy  All journals and newspapers in microfilm format are kept in the Microfilm Room, located across the entrance hallway from the public service counter. Microfilm machines are available in the Periodicals Room for viewing and printing.

Faculty are expected to make copies of articles they need.

Print Indexes for use in the Periodicals Room are located on the north side of the Concourse level in Room B17.
