About the Office
The Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Joseph W. Rachlin, is the chief academic officer for Lehman College. The Provost is responsible for setting the College’s academic strategy and priorities, working closely with deans, departmental chairs, and vice presidents, addressing issues such as effective planning, good management and program reviews, and overseeing academic budgetary planning and priorities.
Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dr. Joseph W. Rachlin, a faculty member in Lehman College's Biological Sciences Department for more than forty-five years, began serving as Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs in February 2012. He fills the position held by Dr. Mary A. Papazian, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, who assumed the post of President of Southern Connecticut State College in January 2012.
