Blackboard Basics for Students

Blackboard is CUNY’s platform for online education. It is used in your fully-online and hybrid courses and used by many instructors to supplement face-to-face classes. In this workshop you will learn how to navigate a Blackboard class, view documents, access video and audio content, look up grades, upload assignments, participate in a discussion, update settings, and obtain assistance in solving problems.  To register, go to the ITR Workshop Calendar.

Microsoft Word Basics

This workshop introduces the basic skills required to create and edit a Microsoft Word 2010 document. Participants will learn how to create a new document, manage text from font to color, create and modify tables, create lists, and toggle between open documents.  To register, go to the ITR Workshop Calendar.

Microsoft Excel 2010 Basics

Microsoft Excel allows you to enter, manipulate and display numbers and text in a spreadsheet- a grid composed of rows, columns and cells. Participants will be introduced to the Excel user interface including the ribbon, menus, toolbars and keyboard equivalents; cell, column and row references; data entry and formatting; creating and copying simple formulas; setting up a spreadsheet for printing; creating charts; and data protection. Microsoft Excel 2010 Advanced Level

This workshop is designed for participants to build on their basic knowledge and to develop the skills necessary to create pivot tables and pivot charts, audit and analyze data, utilize data tools, and collaborate with others. Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Basics

This workshop introduces the basic skills required to create and edit a Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 presentation. Using PowerPoint for Poster Presentations

This workshop is designed for participants preparing to present research findings at scientific and professional conferences and to present results of class projects to instructors and classmates. Topics include organization of content; design of effective presentations (e.g. selection of fonts, color, titles, lists, spacing); preparing documents for printing; print facilities on the Lehman campus; file formats and software considerations; and availability of support.  To register, go to the ITR Workshop Calendar.
