Lehman SCPS Scholarships 

Get assistance with your tuition and achieve your personal and professional goals! 

Thanks to our generous donors, Lehman College offers partial tuition assistance (50%) for select programs within the School for Continuing and Professional Studies. 

SCPS Programs Eligible for Scholarships- Spring 2023 

Adult Student Achievement Award (ASAA) 

  • Adult Degree Program - College Tuition for Accepted Students 

 

Adult Student Success in Educational Transition Scholarship (ASSET) 

  • Intensive English Program (IEP) 
  • Certified Nursing Assistant 
  • Medical Billing 
  • Medical Coding 
  • CompTIA A+ Help Desk Technician 

 

Children’s Summer Camp 

  • More Than a Camp! 

 

Eligibility 

  1. Reside in the tri-state area 
  2. Demonstrate financial need 

 

You may re-apply for more than one SCPS Scholarship per year. You must have passed your previous scholarship class(es) with a C or (2.7 GPA) or better and have not exceeded the lifetime cap amount. 

 

Selection Criteria You must demonstrate the following via your application submission: 

Financial Need 

Financial disclosure statement 

Academic Merit 

Likelihood to succeed in the course 

Commitment to coursework 

Personal statement 

 

Responsibilities 
 
If you are awarded an SCPS Scholarship, you will be responsible for the following: 

  1. Writing a thank you note to our generous donors 
  2. Submitting a photo of yourself and signing a Lehman model release form 
  3. Periodically checking in with your SPSC program to update staff on educational and career progress 
  4. Paying all registration fees and your portion (50%) of the tuition at least one week before your course starts. 

  

How to Apply  

Step 1: Complete the Scholarship Interest Form 

Step 2: Receive a notification via email with scholarship details, deadlines and applications steps. 

Step 3: Upload your personal statement and financial documents 

  

Applicant Notification 

You will receive a notification of your selection status via email. 

 

Disbursement 

Funds from ASSET scholarships will be directly applied to course tuition balance. This also applies to children’s summer camp scholarships.
