
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Online
Total Hours: 125 hours. Anatomy and Physiology (50 hours), Fundamentals of Patient Care (50 hours), Nursing Home Clinical Rotation (30 hours). (Prerequisites: Required prior to clinical CPR100: CPR for Health Care Providers or current national certification from the American Heart Association (AHA.) Completed CNA Medical exam documentation is due at the 1st class meeting. *NOTE: $115 required a testing fee to be paid in class; uniform and textbook fee not included.
Pay average in NYC is $21 per hour ($40,302 annually).
PREREQUISITES
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Demonstrate fluency in English, reading test may be given.
- Physical examination is due on the 1st day of class.
- CPR 100: CPR for Health Care Providers or current American Heart Association required before clinical rotation.
- Basic computer skills are required for online learning.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster are required for in-person skills.
CERTIFICATION
In order to receive a program certificate, you must complete all required courses listed with a grade of C or better. To request a certificate, please send an email to ce@lehman.cuny.edu with “Certificate Request” on subject line.
