The 2nd generation Extreme Universe Space Observatory (EUSO) to be flown aboard a Super-Pressure Balloon (SPB) will provide ground-breaking observations of cosmic ray showers and will search for neutrinos from transient sources using multimessenger alerts. To achieve these science goals, EUSO-SPB2 is designed with two telescopes: a nadir pointing Fluorescence Telescope and a Cherenkov Telescope pointing towards the Earth's limb.

Listen to PI Angela Olinto explaining the idea behind EUSO-SPB missions and go over details of pioneer SPB1 flight.

Watch the launch of a NASA's super-pressure balloon.

EUSO-SPB2 is part of the Joint Experiments and Missions for the Extreme Universe Space Observatory (JEM-EUSO) program.
