Mission
Lehman College provides affordable education of the highest quality that fosters life-changing social and economic mobility. As the philanthropic partner of Lehman College, the Herbert H. Lehman College Foundation seeks to inspire generosity, raise and invest funds from the private sector, and obtain new and renewed sources of funding to enhance learning and personal development in Lehman College students. The Foundation offers guidance and support to the College in stewardship of gifts to make Lehman College a magnet for students and faculty alike, so students are well prepared to capitalize on opportunity.
Philanthropic Contributions
At the end of fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, the Foundation:
- Managed assets totaling $13,150,449
- Oversaw an endowment of $7,902,140
- Distributed approximately $1.2 million in student scholarships and awards
