CompTIA Certification Online

A+ Computer Technician Program

The A+ Computer Technician Program covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software and helps prepare students for entry-level jobs in information technology including help desk and technical support. It also helps prepare students for the CompTIA A+ certification examinations (Details on the CompTIA A+ certification and required examinations (Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-1002)) may be found at https://www.comptia.org/certifications/a#overview) and for more advanced IT industry certifications such as Cisco and Microsoft.

CompTIA Network+

The 72-hour class will cover the following topics: design, implementation, management, and maintenance of networks; network devices and components; comparison of network configurations; the detection, evaluation and resolution of network problems; virtualization; and network security. Security+

CompTIA Security+ is an entry-level security certification preparation course that validates knowledge of basic security concepts, communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, and operational security using hands-on learning in PC labs and lectures. Students must pass an exam to become Security+ certified. Prerequisite: CIP120

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Workforce Vouchers: The program is qualified for Workforce1 ITG Vouchers. Individual Training Grant (ITG) vouchers are issued from Workforce1 Career Centers and provide funding for occupational skills training that leads to employment in New York City high-demand occupations. CERTIFICATION
