The Adult Degree Program at Lehman College is eager to connect with you, whether you are a current or potential student.

There are several ways to reach us. Email is generally the fastest with most emails returned the same day. You can write us at adult.degree@lehman.cuny.edu or leave a voice mail message at 718-960-8666. In your email or voice mail, please let us know if you are a current ADP student, or interested in becoming one, and please provide your contact information and your EMPL ID if you have one.

Pamela S. Hinden

Pamela Hinden
Director
Pamela S. Hinden, LMSW, has been the Director of the Adult Degree Program at Lehman College since 2014. Prior that that, she was the Director of Employee Training at a large non-profit organization in the Bronx. She has taught adult students in a wide variety of settings including community college and senior college classes, inside a women's prison, and on-site in corporate and community organizations. She is a licensed social worker with a background in career counseling and psychotherapy. Pam earned a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies at the University of Maryland College Park and a Master's degree in social work at NYU.



Hicania Gomez-Diaz

Hicania Gomez-Diaz
Associate Director
Hicania Gomez-Diaz graduated from Binghamton with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development in 2005 and a Masters of Social Work in 2007. She is a licensed social worker with 15 years of experience. During her career in higher education she has worked in Residential Life, Career Services, Upward Bound, as an ASAP Academic Advisor, and is now the Associate Director for the Adult Degree Program.

Hicania aims to assist and encourage all students to reach their full potential at a pace that works best for them. She enjoys working with adult students and reminds them that the hardest part is getting started. As a first-generation college graduate Hicania understands the importance of self-advocacy, balancing life, motivation, and navigating curriculum. She wants all students to feel empowered and not afraid to take risks. The biggest mistake that we make is not giving our self a chance.



Johnny Lozada

Johnny Lozada
Academic Advisor
Johnny Lozada was a transportation professional for 20 years before deciding to return to school as an adult student. He graduated with Honors from LaGuardia Community College in 2013, earning an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts: Social Sciences and the Humanities. He attended New York University as a CCTOP (Community College Transfer Opportunity Program) scholar and graduated with Honors in 2015. He recently graduated from Lehman College with a Master's of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership.

Johnny has done meaningful work at CUNY's Fatherhood Academy and Quest to Learn. He now works as an academic advisor for Lehman College's Adult Degree Program in the Bronx. As an academic advisor for adult learners, Johnny enjoys working with students he has a lot in common with. He recognizes that he was on the other side of the desk not so long ago and this drives a lot of the passion he brings to the work.



Johnny Lozada

Julibeth Veras
Academic Advisor
Julibeth Veras originally joined the Adult Degree Program in 2016 as a College Assistant. She then worked her way up to become Director of Lehman’s summer camp for children. After a few years of successfully serving over 300 children and their families, Julibeth took a position with the Department of Education. In the Spring of 2021, Julibeth rejoined the Adult Degree Program as an Academic advisor. Julibeth enjoys helping students create a road map to success to meet their personal, professional and academic goals. Ms. Veras earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Lehman College.
