Prior that that, she was the Director of Employee Training at a large non-profit organization in the Bronx. She has taught adult students in a wide variety of settings including community college and senior college classes, inside a women's prison, and on-site in corporate and community organizations. She is a licensed social worker with a background in career counseling and psychotherapy. Pam earned a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies at the University of Maryland College Park and a Master's degree in social work at NYU.

Hicania Gomez-Diaz

Hicania Gomez-Diaz graduated from Binghamton with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development in 2005 and a Masters of Social Work in 2007. She is a licensed social worker with 15 years of experience. During her career in higher education she has worked in Residential Life, Career Services, Upward Bound, as an ASAP Academic Advisor, and is now the Associate Director for the Adult Degree Program.

Hicania aims to assist and encourage all students to reach their full potential at a pace that works best for them. She enjoys working with adult students and reminds them that the hardest part is getting started. As a first-generation college graduate Hicania understands the importance of self-advocacy, balancing life, motivation, and navigating curriculum. She wants all students to feel empowered and not afraid to take risks. The biggest mistake that we make is not giving our self a chance.
