OPA Advisors and Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) Jr. Fellows conduct intake-meetings with students to identify specific awards and funded program which align with their interests and for which they are eligible for. OPA Advisors and WAC Jr. Fellows support Lehman College students through different stages of an application process including, recommender selection, general application completion, essay drafting, story development and essay review. Students are also able to engage in mock interview sessions to help prepare them for awards and programs that incorporate an interview component in their application process.
One of the perks of working with the OPA is the ability to connect with award representatives and past winners of different competitive awards and programs. This allows current applicants to obtain deeper insight into specific application processes and facilitates the production of more competitive applications.
