TRIO SSS Pathways to Success is a federally funded grant program supported by the U.S. Department of Education. The program was originally founded within Lehman College in September 2010 following a joint petition led by Dr. Anne Rothstein, Director of the Center for School/College Collaboratives, and Dr. Annette Hernandez, Director of the SEEK Program at the time of inception.

TRIO programs have a rich national history dating back to 1964, established to expand access to higher education and promote student success. Today, TRIO SSS Pathways to Success (2025-2030) continues to serve as a vital advocate for educational opportunity, supporting eligible students across the country without regard to race, ethnicity, or culture.

At Lehman College, TRIO SSS Pathways to Success builds on this legacy by fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where students are empowered to thrive academically and personally.
