The Unification of the Americas, a monumental ceramic tile frieze consisting of 150 handmade tiles, is mounted on the side of the MTA Mott Haven Station building. The work faces the lobby of the new Shirley J. Hinds Allied Health and Science Building at Hostos Community College (CUNY). The abstract design suggests the colors and landscape of the tropics.

The title of the frieze alludes to Eugenio Maria de Hostos' idea of the union of the Antilles and the Americas.
