Seven large-scale mosaic murals lie just below the bustling streets of what is affectionately known as "The Hub" . José Ortega captures the energy of the neighborhood with scenes of city life which meld seamlessly with abstract imagery. Circular forms of the sun, earth, and the human face are found throughout the murals. Pre-Columbian and African influences infuse the imagery with a timelessness.
