Victoria Dominguez

Biography

Victoria Dominguez earned her Ph.D. in anthropology from Ohio State University in 2017, and her M.A. in physical anthropology from NYU in 2011, specializing in human skeletal biology. For the last three years she led Ohio State University’s forensic anthropology case team, partnering with state law enforcement agencies to recover and analyze human remains. Interning with a forensics case team in Texas, she worked to identify people who had died while crossing the U.S.‐Mexico border. She also served as a research assistant in the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in the effort to identify human remains in debris from the World Trade Center. She has authored scholarly articles and book chapters in her field.
