Biography

Martha Lerski

Martha Lerski serves as Business Librarian at Lehman College and previously worked in the currency market.  She is engaged in research on, and active implementation of,  Information Literacy and also Open Educational Resources in Business instruction.  A native of San Francisco, Lerski is a long-time resident of NYC where she is a Life Member of the Art Students League and where she completed a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Heritage Preservation in the Context of Climate Change Adaptation or Relocation at the CUNY Graduate Center. 

Lerski earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, Certificate of Advanced Studies in Digital Libraries from Syracuse University, and a Master of Library Science from Queens College, CUNY.  Her research on cultural heritage relates to her sculpture practice.  Lerski’s library service informs her methodology for documenting and preserving heritage elements and her research on privacy and information security.
