Biography

Meng Yu

Dr. Meng Yu is Associate Dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences and Professor of Computer Science at Lehman College, City University of New York. His research focuses on computer system and cybersecurity, trustworthy AI, AI for cybersecurity,  and AI for music.

Dr. Yu has served as principal investigator or co-principal investigator on projects supported by the National Science Foundation, the Army Research Office, and the U.S. Department of Defense. He is an ABET Program Evaluator and an NSA/DHS National Centers of Academic Excellence mentor and reviewer.

Before joining Lehman, Dr. Yu held tenured faculty and academic leadership positions at several universities, including serving as an inaugural department chair at the University of West Florida and as department chair and the Robert Miner Endowed Chair at Roosevelt University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nanjing University and completed postdoctoral training at Pennsylvania State University.
