In this workshop students will be introduced to sound design concepts with a focus on building unique sound scores for performance. Madre Guía will invite students to explore a variety of sound manipulation techniques including resampling, time stretching, rearrangement, and frequency shifting. Students will also consider how a dance performance’s style, mood, theme, and narrative can play a major role in creating sound scores that dynamically support the final performance.
