Funders & Partners

Bronx Food Humanities is generously supported by the Mellon Foundation, and made possible through a partnership between Lehman College, Bronx Community College, Hostos Community College, and the New York Botanical Garden along with many Bronx food justice-oriented organizations.

Get Involved

Bronx Food Humanities is a program for the whole community — not just enrolled students. Each semester, the program hosts two free public lectures on the participating campuses, plus an annual research symposium. Also, look for networking events connecting students with food professionals — chefs, activists, entrepreneurs, writers, and farmers — each grounded in a food humanities perspective such as food writing, archival research, or oral history.

Apply for an Internship

Applications for the 2027 Summer Internship Program will open in early 2027.
