American Prize recognizes Penny Prince for Ongoing Excellence in Musical Theatre

The American Prize honored Professor of Music Penny Prince with a Special Judges’ Citation for Ongoing Excellence in the Creation and Performance of Collaborative Musical Theater. The award recognized her work composing and producing Rapunzel '25 with students and alumni—one of an annual series of collaborative musicals written and performed every spring semester. Both Prince and two other musical productions have been honored previously by The American Prize.
