What Is ATAG?

ATAG stands for Automatic Transfer Admission Guarantee. The program simplifies the transfer experience, reduces administrative barriers, and helps students move smoothly from an associate degree to a bachelor's degree. It is a 2-year pilot program funded by the Petrie Foundation and is being launched in Fall 2026.

Students often face application complexities, delays, and uncertainty during transfer. ATAG was created to help students stay focused on their educational goals.

How the Program Works

Eligible students who have applied to graduate are invited to participate and receive streamlined admission, early transfer credit review, guidance on major selection, and support through enrollment. No need to submit the cumbersome CUNY transfer application!

Who Is Eligible?

Students completing associate degrees at Bronx Community College, Hostos Community College, and Guttman Community College may be eligible.
