Blessing's advice to students
Life is a journey and despite the trials, the failures and heart break these always to seems to be hope. A quote that resonates this "Where their is life there is hope." As long as you are breathing hope for something better. A better life, better health and better way to change or improve your situation. In my college journey I began as a person who hated change, I made a path of my future and believed that It have happen that way. But I learned and I grew, I became wiser and saw that my journey had an entire different path. And I'm glad that I took he chance to accept that change instead of running away. In return my life is a beautiful adventure, full of joy and tears but always end in victory.
Randy Amparo
Major: Computer Information Systems
Randy is currently studying at Lehman as a sophomore majoring in computer information systems. He is also working on campus as a college assistant in the campus’s mailroom. As a mentor, Randy hopes to help students in need navigate through college so that they can be confident in any challenges they face. He is looking forward to sharing advice and knowledge that will be important to becoming the type of student that they need to be to succeed. Outside of school, Randy has many hobbies like exercising, creating art, fishing, etc. He’s always a person who is ready for new and fun experiences.
Randy's advice to students
“The way you do anything is the way you do everything.” I always remind myself of this quote once in and while because it is true. You should always find a way to do things in a productive manner because that effort can be reflected in other things you do. Like how if you are very determined in the gym working out, you can have that same level of determination while studying at school. And like how if you are very organized at home, you can be just as organized with your school schedule, making sure things get done. You shouldn’t limit your abilities in one part of your life; they should be applied to everything you do.

Dylan Heslop

Dylan Heslop, born and raised on the island of Jamaica, is a passionate Computer Science major who enjoys not only coding and building projects, but also teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. Currently in his second year of study, he aspires to become a professional software engineer that others can rely on. Dylan enjoys reading, soccer, and video games, and is deeply committed to supporting others through challenges—believing no one should suffer alone or in silence. Excited about becoming a mentor, he hopes to inspire and bring out the best in others. Guided by faith and hard work, Dylan is determined to achieve success while helping others do the same.
Dylan's advice to students
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” No man is an island, we all face struggles, sometimes in silence. But when we come together and lean on one another, there is nothing we cannot overcome. You are not in this battle alone; there is always help if you look in the right places. No one is meant to carry their burdens by themselves.
