Welcome to the Department of Early Childhood and Childhood Education (ECCE). As a faculty we are committed to preparing competent, qualified, and caring teachers for diverse urban settings. ECCE programs prepare students for initial/professional New York State certification to teach children at the early childhood (birth to grade 2) and childhood (grades 1-6) levels and offers bilingual extensions for those who wish to work in multilingual settings and for NYS certified teachers seeking a bilingual extension in Birth to Grade 6.
