Language Tutoring
We are proud to partner with the Instructional Support Services Program (ISSP) at Lehman to assist student academic success through language tutoring and to offer opportunities for students to practice languages in a relaxed, peer-friendly environment. Tutors will assist with students’ class work* as well as help improve their speaking and writing skills. We offer tutoring with the following languages:
• Arabic
• Chinese (Mandarin)
• French
• Italian
• Japanese
• Spanish
*Students must currently be enrolled in a language class at Lehman to be eligible for the service. Tutoring is available as a drop-in modality, on a first come first serve basis.
Appointments are also available through: LTC Appointment Request Form.
Language Conversation Tables
The Language Conversation Tables are offered in multiple languages to help students practice speaking the basic language in a creative and fun group environment. You do not need to be enrolled in a language course to join the Conversation Table. Currently, Language Conversation Tables are scheduled in:
• French
• Japanese
• Spanish
Fun and Games
Pick up a game or a book, grab a friend, and dive into some conversation in another language. We have board games, magazines, conversation cards, and books available for you to use. It’s all about having fun, learning, and enjoying the moment together. Come and play!

A variety of additional resources are available on site to enhance language learning, including laptops for student use.
