Requirements for the Minor in Linguistics

12-credit minor in Linguistics

Students in this minor should arrange their programs in consultation with the program director. A minor in linguistics must include four courses at the 200-level or higher, with at most two courses being at the 200-level.

A minor in linguistics is of special interest to students in anthropology, computer science, English, foreign languages and literatures, mathematics, philosophy, psychology, sociology, speech communication, pre-law, and speech-language pathology. It may also be an excellent choice for students in educational programs.
