CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative

The CUNY Inclusive Economy (CIE) project at Lehman College, part of the broader CUNY-wide initiative (CIE Initiative), underscores the college’s dedication to fostering economic mobility through high-quality education with a focus on experiential learning. This initiative expands student opportunities by leveraging external partnerships to enhance applied learning and career engagement—ensuring that experiential learning, mainly through internships, remains a cornerstone of a Lehman education.

Launched in Spring 2025 within the School of Business, the CIE Initiative integrates an Industry Employment Specialist (IS) and an Integrated Advisor (IA) into the Department of Management and Business Innovation. They focus on strengthening experiential learning pathways in finance, equipping students with practical skills and industry connections that drive career success.
