Sterio Nika is committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry by creating meaningful pathways for students, faculty, staff, and corporate partners to collaborate. He believes deeply in experiential learning as a vehicle for merging theory and practice, strengthening career readiness, and building communities where all stakeholders can thrive. His journey in higher education began at the CUNY Research Foundation at Queensborough Community College, where he supported the launch of a software-engineering pipeline program for two major Wall Street firms. He later joined NYU Stern as Associate Director of Experiential Learning, leading partnership development for project-based learning courses across undergraduate, MBA, and EMBA programs in a wide range of industries. During his tenure, the Experiential Learning team was recognized by Poets & Quants in 2025 as “Best in Class” for experiential education.
Newly appointed to the leadership team of the Lehman College School of Business, he looks forward to advancing high-impact experiential initiatives that expand access, elevate student opportunities, and strengthen community and employer engagement.
Before transitioning into higher education, Sterio spent five years at global advertising firms WPP and Publicis Groupe, working on strategy and execution for national and international brands. He is also a proud alumnus of the America Needs You Fellowship for first-generation college students.
