Four Lehman College School of Business students recently completed a month-long paid internship at Bally’s Atlantic City, gaining hands-on experience across different corporate operations. From December 29 through January 23, the group—Castedy Castro, Anabel Nicasio, Maurice Wilson, and Jeffrey Gomez—rotated through accounting, human resources, hospitality, and management, translating classroom learning into professional practice.

Bally’s chairman Soo Kim, who established the internship, understands that professional experiences like these can be life-changing for Lehman students. “I’m thrilled Bally’s can play a small part in helping them take the next step toward bright and impactful careers,” he said.

Kim introduced the internship initiative during a talk he gave last fall on the Lehman campus to an audience of students and alumni. “Lehman College reminds me where my own journey began,” Kim said at the event. “The students embody the same grit and drive that define the Bronx borough, and it’s inspiring to see their potential.”

Student intern Maurice Wilson reflected on the experience as a strong finish ahead of the spring semester: “This internship is an incredible way to close out the year and step into the next with growth, gratitude, and purpose.”
