Nicholas Boston Explores London’s Black Queer Clubland Gay City

Associate Professor of Journalism and Media Studies Nicholas Boston authored a new Gay City News article examining “Reunion 79:21 – Revisiting Black Queer London Clubland,” a recent London exhibition that chronicled decades of Black queer nightlife in the city. The piece includes a Q&A with curator Shaun Wallace, who discusses why this history has often been overlooked and what it means to document the promoters, personalities, and communities that shaped the scene.
