To qualify for the Lehman College, S.E.E.K. Program, students must meet academic, economic, and summer program requirements:

1️⃣ Academic Eligibility Requirement

Must be denied general admission based on Lehman’s regular admissions criteria.

2️⃣ Income Eligibility Requirements

Must meet the New York State Opportunity Program income guidelines based on family size and income. View NYS Income Guidelines here.

All students are required to file FAFSA and add Lehman College to their FAFSA application.

3️⃣Summer Program Completion

Must fully participate and complete the S.E.E.K. Summer Bridge Program, a  pre-college experience that prepares students for college success. Two sessions are offered each summer.

No,  Students who are not U.S.ns or permanent residents are eligible for SEEK and may be eligible to receive state aid by completing the New York State DREAM Act (Peralta Scholarship).

Peralta Dream Act Eligibility:

• At least two years of H.S. in NY and graduate or receive a GED/TASC.
• Your permanent home is in NYS, and you are or have one of the following U-Visa, T-Visa, TPS, DACA, Undocumented, Asylum Pending, or other pending status

The S.E.E.K. Summer Bridge Program is required for acceptance into S.E.E.K.  It prepares students academically and socially for their first semester.

Two sessions offered each summer  Session 1 (First week of July to third week of July); Session 2 (Fourth week of July to second week of August).

The summer program runs Monday thru Thursday from 9:00am to 3pm. 100% attendance is required to QUALIFY to enroll in Lehman College for the fall/spring — No Exceptions!

You will attend college-readiness workshops in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking.  You will engage in team-building and campus-life activities with your peers and SEEK staff.  Specialized workshops are provided for academic preparation for Pre-Med and Nursing students.
