Community College Collaborations
Articulation Agreements and Transfer Advising Worksheets
We collaborate with faculty and staff at Lehman and community colleges to develop materials that support and inform community college students who are interested in transferring to Lehman. Articulation Agreements are formal program to program agreements that outline how credits earned in a specific associate degree program will transfer to Lehman. Transfer Advising Worksheets are similar, but are developed to supplement blanket articulation and guaranteed admission agreements. Transfer Advising Worksheets may also contain recommendations for courses that students are encouraged to take as part of their associate degree for optimal transfer to Lehman. Existing agreements can be found on the Transfer Admissions website. Please contact Ron Banks (ronald.banks@lehman.cuny.edu), Director of Strategic Persistence Initiatives, for additional information or questions.
Pre-Transfer Advising
Optimal transfer requires community college students to be selecting courses with their intended bachelor’s degree requirements. Lehman offers pre-transfer advising on-site at several of our primary community college partners. If you are affiliated with Bronx, Guttman, Hostos, or Westchester Community College, please contact Emily Denham (emily.denham@lehman.cuny.edu) for additional information or to schedule an advising appointment. If you are affiliated with BMCC, please contact Ashley Falcon (ashley.falcon@lehman.cuny.edu).
The Bronx Transfer Affinity Group (BTAG)
Lehman is proud to be one of the cofounders of the Bronx Transfer Affinity Group (BTAG), along with Bronx, Guttman, and Hostos Community Colleges. BTAG soon expanded to include the Borough of Manahattan Community College and the Bronx Opportunity Network (BON). Please visit the BTAG website to learn more about the work that we are doing to facilitate seamless transfer and improved graduation rates for all of our students, as well as upcoming professional development opportunities.
