Welcome to our Department of Accounting in the newly established School of Business at Lehman University.

We appreciate your interest in pursuing accounting as your major and for taking the time to explore out programs. There has never been a more opportune moment to embark on a career in accounting. Accounting is not just a discipline; it serves as the universal language of business and a means to convey economic activities. Choosing accounting as your path opens up a world of possibilities, offering a wide array of career opportunities, ranging from sole proprietorships to senior management roles, with additional prospects in auditing and tax professions.

The Department of Accounting proudly presents a range of educational options, including undergraduate programs leading to both Bachelor of Science (BS) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees, as well as graduate programs culminating in a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA). Our MSA program holds certification from the New York State, ensuring that it meets the educational requirements necessary for aspiring Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

Our department boasts a distinguished faculty, comprising professors with extensive professional experience in accounting, taxation, and auditing. When you choose to pursue your educational journey at Lehman and opt for accounting as your major, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience under the guidance of our exceptional faculty members. Many of our faculty regularly publish their research in peer-reviewed journals and actively participate in academic conferences.
