The CUNY Institute for Health Equity (CIHE) cordially invites you to participate in the Dominican Studies Institute’s (DSI) discussion on THE POWER OF INTERSECTIONALITY FOR REMOVING BARRIERS IN STEM AT HISPANIC SERVING INSTITUTIONS. This event is part of the Hispanic Serving Institution-Hubs, “Intersectionality as Inquiry and Praxis: Race, Class, Gender and Ethnicity for Student Success in STEM" (HSI-Hubs), a 5-year long National Science Foundation (NSF) funded partnership involving the City College of New York, Lehman College, Hostos Community College, The University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, and Central New Mexico Community College. This health equity conference was attended by over 500 students, faculty, and community leaders from 12 states and the five boroughs of NYC and featured a keynote speaker, two expert panels on health equity and workforce development, and two student research poster sessions with 70+ students presenting their research.
