My name is Mark Estick, a nursing Major, here at CUNY Lehman. My passion revolves around community service, specifically, helping those who are struggling, those who feel overlooked or those looking a chance at a better life.
Additionally, I do believe we are all one unfortunate circumstance away from being in dire straits, so we must, with humility, choose to help those who we can, when it is within our power to do so. I also believe that those who have been incarcerated and are choosing to pursue higher-education will not only escape the pitfalls of recidivism, but can be an asset to our society.
This is possible through education, quality guidance and continuous support, which I believe the Lehman Reentry initiative has and will continue to provide.
My name is Ebony Abel, and I serve as the Academic Support Coordinator at College and Community Fellowship.
