The Urban Male Leadership Program (UMLP) is designed to facilitate the successful transition of first-year and transfer students to Lehman College. The program also provides support to continuing students by strengthening academic skills, personal development, and character enrichment. We are committed to developing the whole student both inside and outside of the classroom. The primary program focus seeks to increase the retention and graduation rates of all students while fostering a meaningful college experience with specific emphasis on experiences of historically underrepresented Black and Latino males.

The Urban Male Leadership 10th Annual Awards and Scholarship Fundraiser marked a meaningful return to in-person celebration, our first since 2019. The event celebrated the achievements of our students while raising critical funds to support UMLP scholarships, awards, and leadership development initiatives. We were honored to welcome New York State Senator Jamaal T. Bailey, as our keynote speaker, alongside CUNY BMI Director Dr. Jonathan Quash, Lehman College President Fernando Delgado, Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Jermaine Wright, and many distinguished members of the Lehman College community who joined in supporting the continued success of our students.

Although the brunch has concluded, the fundraiser continues online. Supporters are encouraged to contribute by clicking the Donate button, helping us expand opportunities for UMLP students and sustain the program’s impact.
