State Mandated Workshops

Below are all of the mandated workshops required for New York State certification. Each title is a link to the New York State Education Dept. – Office of Teaching Initiatives website listing of state approved providers for each workshop.

• Child Abuse Identification & Reporting
• School Violence Prevention
• Needs of Student with Autism (Required for Special Education and Speech & Language Disabilities Teachers)

NOTE: 
All mandated workshops do not expire. However, as of September 1, 2025, the state updated a SECOND version of the Child Abuse Identification & Reporting workshop. Anyone who has completed this workshop prior to September 1, 2025, must complete the latest version of this workshop.

All state approved Child Abuse workshop providers offer the latest version since the state implemented the change.
