Biography

A picture of a professor

Professor Adam Yuro entered the field of higher education as an adjunct professor and supervisor of teacher candidates after 33 successful years as a secondary level educator of world languages. Since 2017 Professor Yuro has supervised teacher candidates in Spanish, French and Social Studies. He also teaches methodology courses in second language acquisition and language arts. In addition to Professor Yuro’s responsibilities in the classroom, he is also the co-coordinator & co-adviser for Lehman College’s Graduate Program in Teaching Spanish as well as the co-adviser for undergraduates in the Department of Middle and High School Education. Professor Yuro also works as an independent consultant in world language education in which he specializes in differentiated instruction. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and his master’s degree from CUNY Hunter College.
