Non-Degree

A Non-Degree student is someone who is not currently enrolled at a CUNY institution and does not intend to pursue a degree at Lehman College. Non-Degree students may take courses for personal interest, professional development, or transfer credits back to another institution.

You can find the Non-Degree Application here. If you have any questions or issues with your application, contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at Undergraduate.Admissions@lehman.cuny.edu.

To explore which courses are being offered at Lehman for a specific semester, use CUNY Global Search — a tool that allows you to look up courses across all CUNY colleges.

If your home institution requires a syllabus for transfer approval, please email the instructor directly. If that is not possible, contact the appropriate department or Department Chair using our Lehman College directory.

Students currently enrolled at another CUNY college should apply as ePermit students instead.

New and Accepted

Once you have been accepted as a Non-Degree student, there are a few important steps to complete before you can register for classes. Use the information below to learn how to clear any holds, claim your accounts, and enroll in your courses.

Holds will prevent registration, and some require processing time. To view holds, log in to CUNYfirst > Student Center > Tasks and Holds.

MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) Immunization

You must submit proof of MMR immunization to the Student Health Center. Send a clear picture of your vaccine card to med.requirements@lehman.cuny.edu. You must include your full name and EMPLID in your email. Make sure that your full name and date of birth are shown on the vaccine card. Don't have access to your immunization card? Contact the Student Health Center for instructions on how to clear your MMR hold.

Missing Meningitis Acknowledgement Form

Whether you decide to provide proof of meningitis vaccine, you are required to complete a Meningitis response form which could be accessed in your to-dos.

Registration opens on specific dates each semester. Visit the Academic Calendar for registration and payment deadlines. Late registration requests cannot be accepted after deadlines have passed.

Schedule Builder is a tool that allows students to plan their class schedule and register for classes for the upcoming semester. With this tool, students can arrange selected courses into conflict-free timetable options, making it easier to see what available options best fit into their personal and academic lives.

Non-Degree students can also submit a Course Request Form each to request enrollment in specific courses. Once your form is reviewed and approved, you will receive a confirmation email with next steps.

Stay informed about all tuition payment deadlines by regularly checking your Lehman email and reviewing the Academic Calendar. If you have questions about your balance or need help understanding your tuition costs, contact the Bursar Office.

The Navigate 360 app allows you to quickly connect with your Non-Degree Academic Advisor, professors, academic departments and services by scheduling appointments. You can also check your holds, to-do items, class schedule, all within the Navigate 360 app. You will need your CUNYfirst credentials to login to Navigate.

Continuing

If you have previously been a Lehman Non-Degree Student, you do not need to submit a new application every semester, if you wish to continue taking Non-Degree courses. If you do not enroll in one or more semesters, contact Undergraduate.Admissions@lehman.cuny.edu to make sure your account is active.
