How do you set up a VicNet volunteer account?

To set up a VicNet Volunteer Account for the first time, please click here to complete the online Volunteer Application.

Once your application has been processed you will be able to use the VicNet Volunteer Information Center. You will use this account to:

  • Update your volunteer profile
  • Sign up for service events online
  • View and manage your volunteer schedule
  • Post your service hours
  • View and print your service history
  • Review important information about upcoming community events

How do you login to your VicNet account?

To log in to your VicNet account, please click the image below:

Once the page loads, please enter your login name and password.

Please remember that your login name is the email that you entered in your Volunteer Application. If you do not remember the email you used to set up your account, please contact our office by emailing jenny.landsman@lehman.cuny.edu - subject line VicNet Issue.

How do you change your VicNet password?

If you forgot your password, please select the "Forget your Password?" link in the VicNet login page and follow the instructions listed.

You will be prompted to enter your email, this email must match the email you entered when you completed the Volunteer Application.

How do you update your VicNet profile information?

To change your profile information, please log in to your VicNet volunteer account and select the "My Profile" tab.

You will now be able to update your:

  • General Information
  • School Information
  • Availability
  • Emergency Contact

Please remember to hit the "Save" button every time you update a section.

How do you sign up to volunteer for a service event?


To sign up for a service event, please log in to your VicNet volunteer account and select the "My Schedule" tab (or click the "Sign-up" button).

You will now be able to sign up for upcoming service events. We need volunteers on days that have the "Help wanted" symbol. Please select any of these days to learn more or to sign-up for an event.

Once you select a date to:

  • Learn More click the "Description" next to the event title.
  • Sign up click the "Schedule Me" button. Once the new page loads, please verify that the information listed is correct before you accept the assignment.

Where do you find the service events that require you to sign-up through an outside website?

All upcoming events that require you to sign up through an outside site (Ex. NYC Marathon, AIDS Walk, etc.) will be listed in the "Home" tab. The event description will tell you how to proceed.

How do you review your upcoming service schedule?

To view your upcoming volunteer assignments, please log in to your VicNet volunteer account and select the "My Schedule" tab. Once the page loads, you assignment will appear in the calendar:

How do you remove yourself from a service event?

You can remove yourself from an event up to 5 days before the date schedule. To remove yourself from a service event, log in to your VicNet account and click the "My Schedule" tab. Once the page loads, click on the service event in the calendar.

Once the page loads, click the "Remove Me" button and you're done.

How do you post the hours of a service event that you completed outside of our office
(either on campus or off-campus)?

To post the service hours you completed outside of our office, please log in to your VicNet volunteer account and click the "Post your hours" button in the main page.

Once the page loads, you must enter the following information:

  • What was the date of your service? Enter the service date
  • What times did you serve? Enter the total number of hours you completed
  • Which assignment did you serve in? If your assignment is not listed in the drop down menu, please select one of the general assignment options:
    • Off-Campus Other Volunteer Service OR
    • On-Campus Other Volunteer Service.

Once you are done answering the questions, click "Continue". In the next page confirm the information listed and click "Yes" to submit. Please note that if you select one of the general assignment options (Off-Campus Other or On-Campus Other), you will be contacted for further information.

How do you review your Service History?

To review your service history, please log in to your VicNet account and select the "My Service History" tab.

Once the page loads, you will see a summary of your service hours by year. Please select the year to view your individual service dates. You will also have the option to print your service records.
