TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Preparing the Next Generation of Educators

At Lehman College, the Department of Middle and High School Education prepares knowledgeable, innovative, and compassionate educators to inspire learners and make a meaningful difference in their communities. Our undergraduate and graduate programs offer pathways to New York State teacher certification in a range of subject areas for grades 5–12, including opportunities for dual certification, residency experiences, and specialized graduate study.
Through rigorous academic preparation, meaningful classroom experiences, and supportive faculty mentorship, we empower future and practicing teachers to create inclusive, engaging, and transformative learning environments.

Inspire minds. Empower learners. Transform futures.
