POST-MASTER'S CERTIFICATE
The post-graduate APRN certificate program at Lehman College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
This program is designed for registered nurses (RNs) who hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and wish to pursue doctoral study in one of two specialty areas: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). The program consists of seven courses totaling 30 credits.
A gap analysis is completed on students’ transcripts to determine which graduate courses are transferable and those that need to be taken as part of the post-master’s certificate program. The graduates of these programs are qualified for NYS license as a nurse practitioner and eligible to take the national certification exam in their specialty areas.
