Ms. Joi Jones is the Student Success Coordinator (Senior CLT)  in the Department of Middle & High School Education (MHSE). She holds an M.P.A. specializing in nonprofit management from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and a B.S in Marketing from the University of Alabama.

Ms. Joi Jones was a winner of the Unsung Heroes Award at CLT Unity Day on Monday, June 6, 2022. This program recognizes College Laboratory Technicians who work behind the scenes with a positive attitude and willingness to help in whatever capacity necessary and a commitment to excellence.

As the Student Success Coordinator in MHSE, Ms. Jones performs a critical role in strategically planning and overseeing course scheduling, granting permissions for foundations courses, coordinating the foundations program and resolving student registration problems.  Ms. Jones implemented and managed the Fellows edTPA support lab which was integral to student success and teacher certification. Overall, she delivers comprehensive student services to support academic progress. She has supported the efforts of MHSE, SOE and CUNY at large in a variety of capacities including scheduling and/or staffing the Restorative Practices & Transformative Justice Conference, Pipeline to College Partnership Program, TeachNYC! Pathways Fair, and the CUNY Graduate Education Fair.

She manages the departmental website, Instagram and LinkedIn platforms, the social media team and participates in marketing activities.

Ms. Jones is also the grant administrator for the new Computer Integration Teacher Education Grant sub-award to Lehman College via CUNY Central. CUNY Computing Integrated Teacher Education (CITE) is a $17 million four-year initiative to support CUNY faculty at all ranks and all teacher education programs to integrate New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency learning standards aligned computing content and pedagogy into required education courses, field work and student teaching. 

Prior to joining Lehman College, Ms. Jones worked in the not-for-profit sector.
