Richard T. Finger

Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management

Richard T. Finger Richard Finger joined Lehman College in August 2009. Prior to his current role, Richard served Lehman College as Director of Graduate Studies and before that as Founding Director of the Office of Special Academic Sessions. Additionally, Richard is a faculty member in the Department of Economics and Business. He is part of the college’s AASCU Frontier Set Student Success Team and serves as a member of the National Academic Advising Association’s (NACADA) Professional Development Committee.

Before joining Lehman College, Richard served as Director of Academic Advising, Career Development, and Alumni Affairs at Mercy College and was a member of the graduate faculty in Mercy’s MBA and Mental Health Counseling programs.  Richard holds a B.S. degree with a major in Marketing, an M.S. degree in Organizational Behavior, and an M.B.A. degree with a concentration in Marketing.

Takiyah Ali

Graduate Studies

Takiyah Ali Takiyah A. Ali joined Lehman College in 2012. Before her current role as Deputy Director of Graduate Studies she served the college as Graduation Registrar and DegreeWorks Master Scriber/Coordinator as well as Deputy Registrar. Takiyah has almost two decades of experience working in the Higher Education arena in the combined areas of Information Technology, College Governance, and Enrollment Management. In 2020, Takiyah also began working with the LUTE-STEM project through the School of Education. Additionally, she has served as elected campus HEO Delegate, elected Lehman College senator, member of campus Labor Management Executive Committee, and member of the Return to Campus Planning committee. Takiyah holds a B.A. from Mount Saint Mary College in Computer Information Technology with a concentration in Web Design and an M.S. in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University.

Althea A. Forde

Senior Director, Academic Programs

Althea A. FordeAlthea A. Forde is Senior Director of Academic Programs with oversight of five programs: Accelerate, Complete, and Engage; Academic Standards; the Instructional Support Services Program; Search for Education, Elevation and Knowledge (SEEK); College Now; and Freshman Year Initiative program. She joined Lehman College in September 2000 as the Director of the Instructional Support Services Program and the CORE Coordinator. She previously served as the Director of Testing and Tutoring at Mercy College. She holds a B.A. degree in English from College of the Holy Cross, an Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.

Laurie Austin

Admissions and Recruitment

Laurie AustinLaurie Austin has been Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Lehman College for the past ten years. Prior to coming to Lehman, Laurie was Director of Recruitment at CUNY’s Office of Admission Services and Director of Admissions at City College. She has held other senior positions at both private and public colleges. Laurie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Manhattanville College, and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has served on many committees for professional organizations, Lehman College, and CUNY.

Ronald Banks

Strategic Persistence Initiatives

Ronald Banks Ron Banks joined Lehman College as the Director of Strategic Persistence Initiatives in January of 2016.  He has previously served in Associate Director roles at NYU and Charter Oak State College.  Mr. Banks earned his BA degree at Bowdoin College (History and Political Science), his MA degree at Bowling Green State University (History), and recently completed the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Education Leadership and Management at Northeastern.


Christopher Buonocore

Director, Student Success Initiatives

Christopher Buonocore In January 2018, Christopher Buonocore joined EM as the Director of Student Success Inititives. Before joining the team at Lehman, Chris spent almost 10 years in various departments at the CUNY Central Office. First at the University Application Processing Center, then the CUNY Welcome Center, and most recently the Office of the University Registrar. Chris graduated with a BA in Psychology from Queens College and a MSEd in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College.


Liliana Calvet

Academic Standards and Evaluation

Liliana CalvetLiliana Calvet has been an employee of Lehman College since 1975, first as an instructor in the Department of Languages and Literatures, and since 1987 as a member of the advising staff in the Office of Academic Standards and Evaluation.  She moved up the ranks to become the Director of Academic Advising, and approximately twelve years ago she assumed additional responsibility as Director of the Office of Academic Standards and Evaluation, overseeing undergraduate advisement.  As of 2016, Academic Standards became a separate and distinct operation from advisement.  Ms. Calvet continues to teach in the Department of Languages and Literatures and has devoted her entire adult life to the education and success of Lehman students.  Ms. Calvet holds a BA from Lehman College in Spanish Literature, an MA in Peninsular and Latin American Literature, and an ABD from NYU where she completed all course and examination requirements for its doctoral program.

Scott Dames

Director, Special Projects

Scott Dames Scott Dames is a graduate of Lehman College. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in American History. He has held various administrative positions in his twenty five years of service.  Scott is currently the Director of Special Projects in the Office of Enrollment Management.





David Gantz

College Now

David Gantz David Gantz was appointed Director of the Lehman College Now Program in September 2016. Previously, he was the Coordinator of the College Now Program for fifteen years. Mr. Gantz holds a B.A. in Philosophy from New York University and an M.A. in Philosophy from the CUNY Graduate Center.





Angelia Holloway-Pinnock

Director, The Percy Ellis Sutton S.E.E.K. Program

Angelia Holloway-Pinnock Angelia Holloway-Pinnock is the Director of the Percy Ellis Sutton S.E.E.K (Search for Education, Elevation and Knowledge) Program.  She joined Lehman College in August 2008 as a Counselor and later the Counseling Coordinator of the S.E.E.K Program. She has also served as the Project Director of the TRIO Pathways to Success Program.  Prior to Lehman, she was the CEO and COO of Binding Together, Inc., a social purpose vocational training provider for chronically unemployed youth and adults residing in New York City.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in finance from Howard University, and a master’s in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Angelia is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at Columbia University School of Business’ Institute for Nonprofit Management.

Gina G. Immucci

Onboarding Advisement Office

Gina Immucci joined the Lehman College Enrollment Management team in May 2016. Before her current role as Director for the Onboarding Advisement Office, she previously served as the Coordinator for the Office of Transfer Services at SUNY Westchester Community College and Coordinator of Academic Programs at Florida Atlantic University. Gina is a proud graduate from the University of Central Florida holding a B.S in Interdisciplinary Studies of Education, and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University.


Marisol Jimenez

Instructional Support Services Program

Marisol Jimenez Marisol Jimenez was appointed Director of the Instructional Support Services Program in 2018. Previously, she served as Associate Director of the Instructional Support Services Program. She holds a B.A. in English from the University at Albany (SUNY); an M.A in Rhetoric and Composition Theory from Purdue University; an Ed.M. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University; and an Ed.D in Higher Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.


Mikhail Kaler

Director, ACE Program at Lehman College

Mikhail KalerMikhail (Mike) Kaler has been the director of the Lehman College ACE (Accelerate, Complete, and Engage) program since May 2019. Prior to serving on the Enrollment Management leadership team, Mike spent three years working with both freshman and transfer populations in the Office of Academic Advisement and the SYI (Sophomore Year Initiative) program. Before joining Lehman, Mike also served as both counselor and assistant director in the PACT program at Mercy College, where he led a number of student success and retention initiatives. Mike holds a B.A. degree with a double major in International Studies and Spanish from Ramapo College, as well as an M.B.A. degree with a concentration in Management from Mercy College.

John Lucente

John LucenteJohn Lucente joined Lehman College in October 1991 and has held the position of Registrar since 2017.  He has worked in the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Financial Aid over the past 28 years.  He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Fordham University.






Juan Luna

Director, Enrollment Communications

Juan Luna joined Lehman’s Enrollment Management Team in 2013. He is an invaluable resource with 13 years technical experience from LaGuardia Community College where he supported many Enrollment Management initiatives. Juan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Lehman College and a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Leadership from the School of Professional Studies / CUNY.



Javiel Mercado

Director of Enrollment Services and Communications

Javiel MercadoJaviel Mercado has been the Director of Enrollment Services and Communications at Lehman since 2004. Previously, he served at Lehman as the Database Administrator for Title V, and as a Financial Aid Counselor. Mr. Mercado earned his B.S. in Computer and Information Science from Brooklyn College.




Lisa Moalem

Undergraduate Academic Advising

Lisa Moalem joined the Lehman College team in 2008. Her knowledge of Academic Advisement is informed by nearly 20 years of higher education experience in private and public institutions in the areas of Admission, Student Affairs, Freshman Programs and Advisement. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics from Brandeis University, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.


Sandra Morrison

Administrative Coordinator, Enrollment Management

Sandra MorrisonSince 2012, Sandra has coordinated division-wide efforts in support of the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Associate Provost. Previously Sandra supported executive-level medical professionals at both Montefiore Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital. Sandra holds a BS degree from Fordham University.




Oscar Rigamonty

Associate Director, Office of Testing and Scholarships

Oscar RigamontyOscar Rigamonty is the Associate Director of the Office of Testing Scholarship & Awards. Oscar has worked in this Office for the past twenty years.  Oscar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.  Both of his degrees are from Lehman College, CUNY.






Yvette Rosario

Yvette Rosario joined Lehman College in December 2008 and has held the Senior Registrar position for the past 8 years.  She previously was the Associate Registrar at Hostos Community College.  She earned her M.A. in Urban Policy from Queens College and a B.S. in Computing and Management from Lehman College.





Elvira Senese

Financial Aid

Elvira Senese Elvira (Vera) Senese is the newest member of the Enrollment Management team and joined Lehman College as the Director of Financial Aid in August 2016. Vera started working in Financial Aid as a College Work Study student at Fordham University and has more than 30 years of experience in the field. Prior to joining Lehman, she helped open Guttman Community College and served as the first Director of Financial Aid. She also worked at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY Office of Student Financial Assistance, Fordham University, Marymount Manhattan College and the U.S. Department of Education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Media Studies from Fordham University, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling also from Fordham University.

Steven Wyckoff

Director, Freshman Year Initiative (FYI)

Steven WyckoffSteven Wyckoff  is the founding director of the Freshman Year Initiative (FYI), the recipient of two national awards in 2002 and 2015. He is also the Director of English Composition and ESL, and teaches literature classes in the English Dept. His creation of the FYI program and the Summer and Wintersession Skills Immersion programs were prototypes and models for CUNY colleges and beyond. He has a BA in English from Lehman College, an MA in English from New York University, and an ABD in English from New York University
